Being a foodie, I love trying various types and varieties of food from any culture; from quite expensive down to even as simple as baked beans in can. I grew up being exposed into this great treat as a healthy and grab-anytime-food in our shelf whenever we do not have food readily available in time of hunger; with or without rice it is still perfect.
I went to a local grocery store here in Singapore as I am trying to grab anything to eat outside as I am very hungry already this afternoon, without anything in particular in my mind what specifically to buy, but just something not too much and just to suffice my hunger, I saw this can of baked beans and I go right away to the payment counter as I thought this is perfect for me to have something to eat. As I have said this is not so expensive and having a great meal doesn't necessarily have to be expensive. This is just $0.90 SGD, pretty cheap for a 425grams can of goodness. I am really surprised and I am so happy on how much savings I could have if I would just replace my breakfast meal with this. Having this everyday isn't bad at all for me.
Truly, this a healthy and inexpensive treat that a foodie can have.
