Like a typical Christian family, we used to celebrate Christmas Eve by gathering the whole family along in a night of festive spirit with food, drinks and gift-giving. Now, the question is, what food do we prepare for this year's Christmas Eve?
Well here it is. First, I personally prepared and cooked an Aglio Olio dish (for the record, it's just my second time to do this dish and I'm pretty satisfied with the result compared to my first)
As we all know that this Aglio Olio is a pretty basic dish, as it's just Olive Oil and plenty of garlic. (As the posted video on youtube.com that I watched to help me, I've learned that "Aglio" means "garlic" and "Olio" means "Oil" so it's pretty basic as Garlic and Oil Spaghetti/ pasta. For my version, I just added some bacon and luncheon eat to make it just more tempting. Cooking instruction is never been so easy, I suggest maybe you guys just see some help on youtube.

My cousin's husband made this spring rolls and we used to call it as 'Dynamite' - each composing a strip of luncheon meat, a strip of cheddar cheese and a strip of green bell pepper. What makes them to be called as 'dynamite' is the melting process of the cheddar cheese during frying allows it to blend with the luncheon meat and the green bell pepper, giving this taste of like it explodes in your mouth.
This one is also a pretty easy one to make and just follow your usually spring roll procedure. I gave you already the ingredients, just give your personal touch to your dish.

For a typical Filipino family, we always have this either a fruit salad or a macaroni salad for this celebration. Well, we also have a 'Macaroni Salad' but unfortunately, I do not have any photo of it at all - pretty tempted with all these food already so I forgot some photography last night.
At the end of the day, the food is just something to fill our tummies for the celebration, it's still the togetherness and the spirit of gift-giving and the true meaning of Christmas that matters most.
